UX Challenge
Paytm-Ui/ux Case study
I chose Paytm for this UX case study because, despite being a widely used fintech app, it struggles with cluttered UI and poor feature discoverability. A key example is the Delhi Metro recharge option, which is buried deep in the interface, making it hard to find for users who need quick access. This highlighted a broader issue of information overload, lack of personalization, and inefficient navigation, making it a strong candidate for a usability-focused redesign.

Recommendations Summary
-
Interactive and Game-Based Onboarding for Beginners
Design the app introduction in a fun and engaging way, similar to a game. This helps first-time investors learn how the app works without feeling overwhelmed. Using simple tasks, rewards, and progress tracking can make the learning process enjoyable and encourage users to complete their account setup. -
Multilingual Support to Reach a Broader Audience
Include support for multiple Indian languages to make the app accessible to more people. Many potential users are more comfortable using apps in their native language. Offering language options can build trust and expand the app’s reach, especially in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. -
Seamless and Transparent Transactions to Build Trust
Ensure that the buying and selling of stocks is smooth, fast, and easy to understand. Clear confirmation messages, real-time updates, and simple explanations of charges (if any) will help users feel secure. A well-designed transaction flow builds user confidence and encourages repeat use.
